Wonderful!! Excellent location. Excellent view. Perfect hosts. Very comfortable accommodation and very clean. So quiet! A great spot to tour the east coast of the Island and still be able to get home at days end.

Our one-month stay at the beach house exceeded our expectations. After driving through the secluded driveway to get to the house, we were treated to a spectacular view of the ocean bay and beach below, a nearby marina, and a wide expanse of grassy area surrounding the house. One of our daily pleasures was watching the fishing boats, pleasure boats, and cruise ships on the ocean. One of a pair of nesting eagles on the property would keep watch atop a 60- to 70-foot spruce tree for hours on end. Daily visits from a deer family and a quail family were also a treat. We want to thank the owners, Christyne and Kerry, for their attention to detail and hospitality. They’re a lovely couple

We had a wonderful stay at The Beach House on the Bay in May. This is a very comfortable house to relax and enjoy all amenities. We have traveled extensively in Canada, USA and Mexico and can say this is the cleanest accommodation in which we have stayed. It is immaculate.
The kitchen is well stocked with equipment for anything you want to create. An excellent barbeque on the outdoor patio, compliments this kitchen. The laundry area is big, and the machines are in great shape. The rooms are well set up and the best room in the house is the front sun-room where you can sit all day enjoying the view and activity at the French Creek Marina. There is ample, comfortable seating outside to enjoy the sun or shade. The hosts, Kerry and Christyne, live on site and are prepared to assist in any way you may need, but your privacy is guaranteed.
You are very close to many areas, such as Parksville and Qualicum Beach, to enjoy activities offered in these places. Shopping is close by as well.
We recommend The Beach House on the Bay for a wonderful vacation, it is a gem!

We came up from the US for a week of relaxing and taking in a nature with my just-retired parents and 4 of our 5 kids, ages 10-19. Every single one of us had the time of our life. We kayaked in the bay, walked to the marina for fresh-caught salmon to BBQ on the grill, relaxed in the hot tub, watched 5 eagles swoop around every day ... If there was a spare moment, we were outside playing yard games. This location was great, however, to get to so many destinations: Cathedral Grove, Goats on the Roof at Old Country Market, Englishman's Falls, Qualicum Beach by Judges Row, Qualicum Falls, and even the sand-building contest on Parksville's beach. We took one trip over to the West side and hiked the Wild Pacific Trail. The best food was at Boston Pizza and Trees Restaurant, and the best fun was at Paradise minigolf. Great place to get groceries at SavOn, only 3 minutes away. And a great church service at Parksville Fellowship Baptist church.
The house was clean and comfortable. The fluffy, white towels made me feel like I was at a spa, as did the comfortable bed. This vacation renewed and relaxed us in every way. We hope to come back again and again!

Absolutely love this beach house! We have boys aged 2,10 and 18 and they all enjoyed the beautiful yard and beach. Lots of room as we had extra family come down and we're still very comfortable! Will be staying again!

We were a party of four adults. The house is spacious, well equipped and very clean, the yard was large and beautiful. The view to the marina and the open water is spectacular. Spent much time looking at the marina, people and dogs at the small beach on the bay, hummingbirds, bald eagles, loons, harbor seals, deer, bunnies, herons, cruise ships passing by, and beautiful sunsets. It was private, restful, and quiet. Grocery shopping is very close, as well as the beautiful beaches of Parksville. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I would certainly recommend this rental, and hope to return to enjoy the Beach House.

Most of the time we were there, we were a party of four adults and two small children. Part of the time, there were three additional adults. It's a smallish, older home but it didn't feel crowded and was very quiet. The house was very clean, the rooms were comfortable, the beds were comfortable, the water pressure was great, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The house is filled with games, puzzles, books, and movies for those days when the weather doesn't go your way. The yard is spectacular, with all kinds of amusements for young and old, and plenty of places to play, sit and visit, or get away on your own. The view and the beach are right there. There are bunnies, deer, and many different kinds of birds to watch. The hosts were welcoming. As they live next door, they were available if needed but they did not intrude at all. We would definitely go back. Thanks Kerry and Christyne.

We stayed at the Beach House June 20-23, 2014. It was as wonderful as described, but even better! A magical time was had by all. We were a party of 10. 5 adults, 5 children ranging in ages from 17 months to 17 years old. We got together as a family for the first time in years & had not met some of our grand children. I cannot begin to describe just how wonderful this house & all it contained was. The view alone was breathtaking, kitchen fantastic, bedrooms, baths, & all areas of the house were clean, neat & very well kept. The laundry & dishwasher were used every day. The kitchen had enough dinnerware for our army & just about everything possible we could have needed. Kerry & Christyne have added personal touches & tried to imagine everything possible for children & adults to keep themselves busy when not enjoying the beach. The chairs facing the beach in the picture show exactly what you will see. A wonderful spot to watch cruise ships, ferries, boats, etc sail by or just sit with a drink or coffee and contemplate life. The outdoor grill was great, as my son-in-law had caught salmon, & we cooked out in the evenings. The hot tub was extremely relaxing for the adults after a long day. The kayaks (life jackets provided), croquet, table tennis, volley ball, beach buckets & equipment, & all the numerous toys were an extra nice touch & kept even our littlest one entertained. Although there was a large video library, the TV did not come on once. There was so much for us to do & we knew immediately 3 days were not going to be enough. The wildlife coming onto the property was very exciting, especially for the 17 month old. Quallicum beach was a short trip from the house & afforded us a long low tide in the morning to hunt for sand dollars, starfish, shells, & crabs. The market at Coombs with the goats on the roof was fun & the variety of flavors of ice cream available were too numerous to mention. We plan to Visit this house yearly & will be staying for a week or two, if Kerry & Christyne will have us. We wish we hadn't waited this long, unfortunately jobs & being so far away made it difficult until this year. Again I can not say enough about our wonderful visit at this fantastic house. We have become repeat customers for ever!!

The Beach House appealed to everyone in our family from teenager to grandparents with its cozy comfort. The glassed-in porch was our favored place to begin the day, surveying the beautiful expanse of water and the bustling marina over coffee and breakfast, and we ended each evening by the fire on the back lawn. During the day we explored the area with drives to places like Englishman River Falls and Campbell River, or just stayed home enjoying the beachcombing, kayaking, and lawn games.
The location is amazing. The main thoroughfare is literally steps away, yet the house feels secluded and there is no highway noise. Upon our arrival we excitedly made our way down the little path to the beach and were immediately greeted by two bald eagles soaring overhead into the tall evergreens. The small bay seems to be just as attractive to wildlife as it is to the guests; we saw otter, herons, deer and quail. We enjoyed buying seafood from the marina market, and the marina pub serves delicious fish and chips if you don't feel like cooking!
Accommodations were as described/pictured, and all was clean and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the linens plentiful. The grounds are immaculately maintained and instructions on everything from internet access (via a secure network) to composting/recycling are clearly posted. Our warmly welcoming host was on hand to greet us and was available to answer any questions we had. You can tell that Kerry takes pride in the place and has put some real thought into providing all that one might need at a vacation home, plus some thoughtful surprises, and he is a handy guy with a project or clever system for nearly everything.
Our wish is to return some day to the Beach House for a longer stay!
